about me

Finding the exact moment that will define a scene has always been a driving force for me... feeling the wind in my face while waiting for a cloud to pass and the light to change, pressing the shutter release and knowing that it is going to be awesome.

I want to share my unique perspective of the world as I see it through the lens of my camera.

I graduated from the School of Visual Arts in NYC with a BFA degree in photography. While there, I studied with outstanding artists and even spent a semester abroad in Italy where my love of travel first took root. Early on, I was influenced by Bresson, Stieglitz, and Ansel Adams. I've tried to put a surreal twist on some of their ideas while preserving a timelessness that I loved so much in their work.

Since then, I have been lucky enough to travel to many places and create a style that is all my own. Whether it's around the corner or across the world, I can always find something cool and interesting to shoot. The best is when my wife says: where or when did you shoot that? And she was standing right next to me at the time!
